Faculty of Law and Management, University of Mauritius

The University of Mauritius (UoM) was established in 1965 with the aim to help in the general development of the country. Today, the key mission of the UoM is to be a leading international university, bridging knowledge across continents through excellence and intellectual creativity. The UoM has five Faculties - the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Social Studies and Humanities, and the Faculty of Law and Management - which offer undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes to local and international students.

IBCSE 2012 will be hosted jointly by the Faculty of Law and Management (FLM) and the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Entrepreneuriat. The FLM houses three departments, namely Management, Law and Finance & Accounting and has a student population of approximately 4,300.

Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Entrepreneuriat (l’IFE)

During the Summit of Heads of State and the Governments of French-speaking countries held in Mauritius in 1993, the Government of Mauritius had made the request for the creation of an institute for advanced training in entrepreneurship. Thus, l’IFE opened its doors to the first batch of students in February 1999. The mission of l’IFE is to contribute to sustainable development through the creation of businesses in the region of the Indian Ocean and the countries sharing the French language. It also seeks to promote the diffusion of entrepreneurial culture in the Francophone. This mission is carried out with the support of a consortium of institutions of higher education and research (France, Belgium, Canada) l’IFE is located on the UoM campus.
