• All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors should ensure that abstracts are not plagiarised (including self-plagiarism).

  • Abstracts will be checked for similarity and those with similarity greater than 30% will not be considered and must be revised.

  • Accepted abstracts for presentations will be collected in the book of abstracts and to be circulated in PDF. The ISBN number for the book of abstracts is 978-999-99949-783-0.
     
  • Abstracts, strictly as per the format and related to the conference topics, should be submitted using the online submission system only.
     

  • A formatted abstract (figures, schemes, tables and references, if any) should not exceed one A4 size page and should be in MS Word format.

    Kindly ensure that your abstract is read and approved by all co-authors before submission.

  • The presentations should preferably be in one of the following format:

         (1) Recommended format: Video (20-30 minutes) (You may host the video on YouTube, Vimeo)
         (2) PDF format (15-20 pages)

  • Award for 2 best presentations by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP)

    There will be two awards for 2 best presentations of Euro 100 each for student/early career scientist (excluding keynote) from developing countries. 2 books for each award will also be provided by De Gruyter.

    The following conditions are applicable;

    1) Student/early career scientist should be based in a developing country, refer to the list:

    2) An early career scientist, no more than 6 years should have elapsed from the attainment of the PhD

    3) Must be a registered participant with abstract for VCCA-2021 and be the presenting author of VCCA-2021

    4) Should be agreeable to contribute to a full paper for the proceedings of VCCA-2021

    5) Should be agreeable for a public announcement being the awardee

    Presentations will be judged by three independent scientists. The criterion for evaluating the presentations will be in terms of scientific contents, innovation of the research and on the efficiency to convey the research findings scientifically in written or video format. Decisions of the three judges will be final, cannot be contested and there may not be any awardees.
