The Fifth International Conference on Ocean Engineering (ICOE2019) will be organized by the University of Mauritius and the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM).
The theme of the conference is ‘Ocean Engineering —Towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals’. Ocean resources and its environment contribute significantly to the global community. As demand for resources increases and land resources getting scarce, development in the ocean sector is increasing at a fast rate. For many ocean resources can bring along opportunities to address pertinent issues such as food, water security and social welfare. Technology is key to sustainable development of ocean resources.
