- The University of Mauritius in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade and the IORA Secretariat is organising a 2-day virtual brainstorming workshop on the theme “Post-COVID-19 – Sustainable Innovation to set the economy back on track”.
- This virtual brainstorming workshop aims at bringing together Government, Academia and Industry representatives from the IORA Member States to discuss innovative strategies adopted by the IORA MS to cope with the pandemic and share good country practices. It will provide a platform to reflect on a sectoral approach and build innovation clusters, enable Member States to tap opportunities and build on proven experience as well as address capacity gaps. The event will focus on 4 key sectors namely: (1) The Blue Economy; (2) Tourism;(3) Health, and the (4) Circular Economy. A half-day brainstorming will be devoted for each sector.
- The Conference will take place on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 February 2022. Participants from Mauritius will have the option to attend in-person at the UoM.
