Workshop/ Symposium
Call for Workshop or Symposium (now closed)
The Organising Committee invites proposals for running of workshops or symposia.
Each workshop or symposium should have at least 10 paper presentations.
One of the organizer/s will benefit from waiving of registration fee.
The organizer/s will be responsible for promoting the workshop or symposium, reviewing and recommending abstracts and full papers for the book of proceedings.
Each participant interested in submitting an abstract to a workshop or symposium must send the formatted abstract to the workshop or symposium organizer/s. If the abstract is suitable for the workshop or symposium, organizer/s should inform the participant to submit the abstract to the online submission system of the conference. If the abstract is not suitable for the workshop or symposium, organizer/s should inform the participant to submit the abstract to the online submission system to be considered for oral/poster sessions of the conference. All deadlines must be respected.
Proposals for running workshops or symposia should be submitted to the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr Ponnadurai Ramasami, (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Each proposal should include details about:
- Title of workshop or symposium.
- Details of the organizer/s (name, current position and e-mail address).
- Brief description in about 100 words of the workshop or symposium.
- Participants targeting.
The deadline for proposal submission is 31st Dec 2009.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to decide about the running of workshop/symposium.
Accepted Symposium
Title of Symposium- Ref1 - Ethics at the Frontiers of Science and Technology
Description
The objective of the workshop for Ethics at the frontiers of Science and Technology is to encourage science and technology in the public interest by promoting awareness, understanding, and discussion of the ethical and moral implications of new developments in science and technology. Also to study the fundamental problems of contemporary ethics in recent era as well as the philosophical issues raised by the modern life sciences.

Title of Symposium- Ref2 - Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)
Description
The objective of the workshop on Persistent Organic Pollutants POPs is to raise awareness of the public regarding the threat that these toxic chemicals pose to human health and the environment. These chemicals, that are managed on a global level by the Stockholm Convention, possess toxic properties, resist degradation, bio-accumulate and are transported though air, water and migratory species over long distances across international boundaries and are deposited far from their place of release where they accumulate in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. This workshop will give an opportunity to experts in this field to present their recent findings / data to the public.

Title of Symposium- Ref3 - Diffusion Assisted Reactions, (DAR)
Description
DAR is devoted to the theory of the energy or electron transfer in bimolecular reactions affected by encounter diffusion of the reagents and reaction products. The acceleration of intra molecular reactions due to diffusion along the reaction coordinate is also included. Any applications to the electron (energy) quenching and conservation, delayed fluorescence and charged products separation and recombination are considered together with magnetic field effects and reversible production of exciplexes. The kinetics and yields of all the reactions and their diffusional dependence is studied. The related phenomena in electroluminescence are also included. .

Title of Symposium-Synthesis and Structure of New Heterocyclic Compounds
Description
The objective of the symposium on Synthesis and Structure of New Heterocyclic Compounds is to bring together researchers working in the field of heterocyclic chemistry, both synthetic and physical chemists, to promote mutual awareness and understanding. This should help physical chemists in a search for new interesting objects for their structural investigations and to encourage synthetic chemists to apply novel physico-chemical methods to the newly synthesized compounds. The Workshop will give an opportunity to experts in the field to exchange the ideas and to present novel approaches to synthesis, elucidation of structure, and dynamic behavior of different representatives of this interesting and important class of organic compounds.. .
