This is a Green Conference

This meeting will be organised as "Green" as possible.

The theme for ICPAC 2012 is “Chemistry : The Key for our Future".`

Your collaboration is also required for this achievement.

It is important to recall here the quote from Nancy J. Wilson “It does not have to be 100%…It is really important just to start”.

The “Green” initiatives to organise this international meeting include the following:

1. Paperless technology will be applied.
2. All information related to the conference posted on the website.
3. E-brochure circulated by email and printed only if necessary.
4. Book of abstracts provided in PDF on CD-ROM and hard copy printed only when required.
5. Registration to be done online.
6. E-booking of accommodation and tours.
7. Online payment preferred.
8. Accommodation will be available at the conference venue thus minimising fuel and emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere due to transportation.
9. Turning off light and air-conditioning in halls and meeting rooms when not in use.
10. Mobile phone and laptop chargers to be unplugged when not in use.
11. No wastage of food, drinks and water.
12. RSVP for social events so that appropriate amount of food can be ordered.
13. Unused printed materials and registration badges may be left for reuse or recycling.
14. Observe “Green program” in the hotel, conference and Mauritius.
