The Organising Committee invites the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations.  Abstracts submitted will be blind-reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Only submissions from registered delegates would be included in the Book of Proceedings.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

All abstracts must be in English

• A4 Portrait, maximum length of abstract, ½ page (figures and tables included)
• Margins, Left 2 cm, Right 2 cm, Top 2 cm, Bottom 2 cm
• Page numbering – unnumbered
• Footers / Headers – None
• Title – 10pt Times Roman, bold, all upper case, centred followed by a two-line spacing
• Author and co-authors – 10pt Times Roman centred, author and co-authors affiliation on separate lines – no spacing between the lines – followed by the two line spacing
• Abstract – 8pt Times Roman, bold – maximum half page
• Text  - 8pt Times Roman, single line spacing between paragraphs
• Figures, photographs and tables – figures shall be numbered consecutively with a brief title (included in half page)
• References – Authors are responsible for the accuracy of references. References to published literature should be quoted in the text as follows: Bester (1982) or (Bester, 1982). Where more than two authors are involved, the first author’s name followed by et al. and the date should be used. All references should be listed alphabetically according to the Harvard system at the end of each paper and not given as footnotes.

Example: Author’s SURNAME, INITIALS., Year of publication. Title of article. Title of journal, Volume number and (part number), Page numbers of contribution.

E.g. MCGIL, W.A., 1997. Approaches to intelligent information retrieval. Natural language Processing, 7 (3), 147-168.

• Format of abstracts:

Page Size A4, Maximum half page

Posters Guidelines & Information

• The size of the poster boards is 1m (width) and 1.5m (height). The format of poster is preferably A0, 841 mm x 1189 mm / (width) 90 cm and (height) 1,20 metres.
• Posters abstracts should be maximum ½ page, A4 size (i.e. 500 words or 250 words plus diagrams).
• Poster authors are strongly advised to send their posters in jpeg format and to specify size of same
